HOW TO MAXIMIZE YOUR INVESTMENTS WITH CRYPTOCURRENCY

“Investing in cryptocurrency is a fantastic way to make good returns on your money, but that doesn’t mean you should do it on a whim or without doing a significant amount of research first. While some stocks are considered stable stocks such as —–, cryptocurrencies are highly volatile – sometimes their share price can spike simply because someone famous mentioned it in an interview – and this means you need to think carefully about where exactly you’re putting your money.”

Cheap Cryptocurrency: Five Coins You Can Add to Your Wallet Today

Article by Matthew Makowski

“When it comes to a cheap cryptocurrency, there are a couple ways to look at it. And keep in mind, “cheap” is always subjective. First off, whether you’ve got five bucks or $5 million, just about any cryptocurrency is within reach. The only boundary to entry is usually set up by the crypto exchange. One of our favorites, Coinbase, has a $2 minimum. That means you can purchase or sell as little as $2 worth of any cryptocurrency on that exchange. But for our purposes, we’re going to look at five altcoins that have a whole lot more room for growth…”

The Trump administration countered Chinese investment in African tech. Will Biden continue?

“In January 2020, Nigerian healthcare startup LifeBank became the first company to receive investment under a new maternal care initiative introduced by the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC). LifeBank’s 24/7 blood supply business met three criteria for a DFC-funded company; it is a revenue-generating enterprise filling a developmental gap in an emerging market. Using these investment criteria, the DFC has gone on to invest in multiple sectors across Africa. In addition to LifeBank, DFC’s Africa portfolio includes Twiga FoodsCopia (both Kenyan startups), and investments in Angola, Botswana, Chad, Egypt, Gabon, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Senegal, South Africa, and Uganda. The DFC has a $75 billion investment target for people in less developed economies, through loans and direct equity funding into startups, funding VC funds, and providing technical support.  That alone makes its presence in Africa remarkable. Startups working on power generation, healthcare, agriculture, technology, and financial services could access really large tickets for massive scale. But America is changing hands to an ideologically different leadership. How will this influence the DFC’s future approach and impact in Africa?”

Top African tech startups have solutions to some of the continent’s pressing challenges

“Africa’s top startups presented innovative proposals to tackle water, food and land security, healthcare, urban development and engineering challenges in Africa. The two-day summit… also included expert-led sessions looking at investment, food sustainability, smart cities and villages, drone testing, image analytics, aviation policy for sustainable growth and the role of women in the aerospace industry.”

We always knew Africans could solve their own problems, but now it’s evident. The image of starving Africans is being replaced with thriving African technology centers. African Americans have the capacity to do this as well. What is the blueprint for cultivating technology innovation and incubating technology startups in marginalized communities in America?

Why it’s important that Ivanka was in Africa

“Ivanka Trump is in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for a four-day tour to promote the Women’s Global Development and Prosperity (W-GDP) Initiative, a $50 million United States initiative launched by her father, President Trump in February. The initiative is aimed at advancing women’s economic empowerment through a whole-of-government approach to reach 50 million women globally by 2025.”

This initiative, on the surface, certainly looks like a bold, progressive move by the Trump administration. Let’s look under the hood to see what measures are in place to make sure that they’re not just creating a higher-skilled slave labor force of women. Sounds like a project to me!

Central banks in Africa make it a little easier for digital remittances

“Financial regulators such as central banks in Africa are caught in a delicate balancing act as they create workable regulatory platforms for digital remittances while guarding against illicit financial flows and money laundering.”

Most countries in Africa have citizens working abroad and so it is in their interest to promote and facilitate digital, cross-border remittances and e-commerce payments. Is tapping into international digital finance platforms the way to go? What other solutions could facilitate international digital payments and empower African nations?
